Stanley is a boy, who has to pay for something, although he is innocent. But he doesn’t give anyone else the blame, so I think he is a nice boy.

He is also friendly to the boys, who were in the camp, although he doesn’t know what they have done to be there and what their characters are. That’s because he avoids conflicts and other unnecessary things.

So my first impression of Stanley is, that he is a normal person. He wants to keep things simple, because he doesn’t want to change something in his „normal“ life. In the end, I like Stanley, because he is sympathetic.
